Item: 1976 NCAA / Big Ten Champs Poster
Rare poster (approximately 17.5” x 23”) featuring the undefeated Indiana Hoosiers 1976 basketball squad. Has some water damage and came out of an estate auction, but it framed up quite nicely. When I can say it’s the only one of these I’ve come across, I’d say it’s quite rare.

Item: 1976 “The Fabulous Four Years” Poster
Another rare poster, this poster was inked by artist Robert Stockwell, who was responsible for many of those classic team calendars from the 1980’s. Like always, the artwork is amazing. Handwritten at the bottom of the print is “The Fabulous Four Years”, serial number 39 / 300, and Robert Stockwell’s signature. Not all copies of this poster are serial numbered and signed by the artist, making this version even more valuable.

In like new condition, I don’t think this seat cushion has ever had a set of cheeks on top of it…nor will it ever! Features some classic silhouettes of Coach Knight and the team. Approximately 13.5” x 17”.

Item: 1976 Indiana Basketball Coca-Cola Tray
These are a dime a dozen…walk through any antique or collectibles mall in the state of Indiana and you are likely to find one. However, finding one with vibrant colors and isn’t all scratched up might be another task. While they are serial numbered on the back to a staggering 76,000…I’ve been told the production was well short of that figure. Slightly larger than 12” in diameter.

Item: 1975-76 Big Ten / National Basketball Champions Picture
Doesn’t look like it, but this picture actually consists of two parts. Bottom layers is simply the circular photos of the players and coach and the second layer is the red part with cutouts for the players. Cool design. Approximately 13.5” x 13.5”.

Felt pennant of the rectangular variety. If I recall correctly, the person that I acquired this from said these we distributed across the campus. This pennant measures 10.5” x 16.5”.

This buckle might be more rare than the 1976 version. I’ve only seen two of these come up for sale in a span of several years.

Very cool “trivet” like pewter plaque (it has feet on the bottom of it) featuring the scores of the regular and post-season. Made by Pewtarex based out of York, Pennsylvania. Measures 12” in diameter.

This glass sign measuring approximately 10” square is an interesting piece that I can’t quite figure out. You can faintly see what appear to be Big Ten Title years surrounding the white oval area, but some are more prominent than others and others can barely be seen.

This commemorative poster was a promotional item given away at a home game against Ohio State (I believe it may have been during the 25th Anniversary season in 2012). The poster was limited to 500 and is hand serial numbered (#350) in the bottom right corner. Framed in a standard 24” x 36” frame.

The first rug like this I owned I picked up at an antique/collectibles mall in Jennings County many years ago. It had been used and the colors were somewhat washed out. When I came across this brand new version, I had to upgrade. This rug has such vibrant colors and rests right in front of my Final Four chair from the same year. 35.5” x 35.5”.

Measuring 14” x 19”, I believe this metal sign was originally framed in a silver plastic material, but mine was missing a section of the frame…so I stripped it down to what you see here.

A concept stolen from fraternity paddles, this solid wood paddle shows the results of both the regular season and NCAA tournament. Fits perfectly for my shaker-style column! I’ll admit a lot of time the value I place on some of these items may seem bogus, but when you don’t see some things very often, it’s quite difficult to place a value on it, as it the case here.

This clear acrylic display stand features a photo montage of Steve Alford and some cheerleaders along with a commemorative coin made of 1 troy ounce of pure silver. While the coin is fairly uncommon, I can tell you this is the only one of these I’ve come across in my many years of collecting.

Very similar to the 1981 championship buckle — however, this one is stamped on the back with A.C. Oehmich Promotions. Not sure how many were made, but oddly enough, it has a place for the serial number and it wasn’t stamped. Perhaps it was a proof….I’m not sure. Haven’t seen another one to compare. Shows the scores on the back of each game during the NCAA tournament.
