Salute to the General

Taking a moment to reflect on today’s loss of a legend. Even though Coach Knight didn’t know me #$%@!& shit from Shinola, one of the reasons I created this site was to pay homage to the greatest basketball mind the game has ever known — and his influence on my love of the game and the Indiana University basketball program.

As I was talking with my dad this evening about the news, he said one of the things that he admired most about Coach was that he said and did things his way…something I can certainly echo.

Thank you, Coach. In the spirit of being authentic and unadulterated, screw all of you capitalistic profiteers out there today, tomorrow, and the coming days hocking your Coach Knight memorabilia. What a travesty — you didn’t deserve to have the privilege of owning these items in the first place.
