Just looking at the artwork of some of the earlier calendars…wow. Call me nostalgic, but I wish they would go a little retro and pay some homage to these. Also, I wish they’d make them in two different sizes like they did back then, as well. For those of us that collect everything IU under the sun, it sure does help with maximizing the real estate on our walls! I love the quality cardstock used to print these. This is the small calendar size, which was sized 11 1/4” x 16 5/8'“ and the large size was sized AA” x BB”. The artwork on this poster was done by Robert Stockwell.
I had the privilege of having a chat one day with the former owner of Mid-America Publishing, Terry Self, when picking up another item featured elsewhere on the site (photo taken by Wendell Field of “The Shot” from a not-so-often seen angle). Super-nice guy that had several neat stories to share with my father and I.
