Hoosier Fan Fest treasure!
When I first heard about the inaugural Hoosier Basketball Fan Fest, I couldn’t have been more excited to have the opportunity to meet the players and potentially other Hoosier greats. It was a beautiful day in B-town and I was able to spend the entire day there with my father and my son.
The event was well done, led by the Hoosier Hysterics, Eric Pankowski and Ward Roberts. It was a lot of fun — I loved seeing the children be involved and get to interact with the team…people they admire and aspire to be.
It’s become an annual tradition and goal for me to get a basketball fully signed by the team. I continue to do this even though I’ve pretty much ran out of room to add anything new (and especially bulky) to my existing collection. Of course, I’m one of those crazy fans that show up way early and was one of the first people through the doors. I was super-stoked to get my ball signed by everyone…and even scored an ‘and 1’ when I was able to get a key member of the 2002 team to fill in a missing sig from a team photo I had when I briefly met Dane Fife — and also got a picture with him! Such a great way to start the Mike Woodson era and the 2021-22 basketball season!
